priorities and regrets…
aww i love this. lik a lot. this is y god is loved more than gay dogs. :PMany years from now… you’re not going to regret not studying for that test. you’re not going to regret getting a B instead of an A. You’re not going to regret spending an hour or two of your life not doing work…
You are going to regret the kiss that never happened, not spending time with the ones you love…
If you don’t take the chances to make people know that they are important, if you don’t make sacrifices, if you don’t make compromises… you’re going to have regrets.
Don’t let moments pass you by without seizing the oppurtunities to be with those who you care about. life is short and cruel, and most important, temporary. after all, everything is dust in the wind, in the end, except your actions and decisions. if you died tomorrow, would you be happy saying this is how you lived your life?
i know i wouldn’t. and i don’t think most people would. consider these words to live by: stop and smell the roses, seize the day, and let love guide you.
also, spend your time on the things that matter the most. don’t let your life be governed by something that in the end, when you die, will not have meant anything. the money you made, the grades that you got, the stuff that you bought, none of it really matters. It’s the people you met, the people you loved, the people you chose to spend your time with. It’s the decisions you made, it’s your impact on others’ lives, it’s the mark you left on the world. It’s the holes that will be there after you’re gone, if you were gone, because you’re not. you’re always there because you had such an effect on someone that they will always remember you, and because you were so important to them and them to you that they will always carry a piece of your heart with them, and you theirs. That’s what really matters.
well… there’s my philosophical thoughts of the past week or so… i am going to try to live better by this. i hope others do too. if everyone did, the world would be a better place, and all kinds of problems could be avoided.
